Overview
This application allows you to complete a general permit application for Fish and Wildlife permits that do not have a specific application form.

Costs and Responsibilities
Due to the complex nature of this application, fees will not be collected or calculated online. Instead, a Clerk will contact you to inform you of any fees owed and to arrange payment.

The Habitat Conservation Trust Fund surcharge is included in any applicable fee(s).
Fees calculated on the electronic Fish and Wildlife application may not be the complete final fee. A Permit Clerk will contact you if late fees are owed or if other licence specific fees are outstanding.
Fee Exempt
If you are requesting this application to be exempt from fees, please follow the instructions below to complete the electronic application submission:
- Make sure that you are eligible for fee exemption as per the reasons listed in the "Fee Exemption Regulations".
- Provide proof of exemption along with your application (if applicable).
- On STEP 7 of the application, indicate that you are fee exempt and the reason(s) for exemption. You can indicate this in the "ANY OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION" section of the application.
- For Payment option, select "Pay in person".

Dead Wildlife
- Possess Dead Wildlife for Personal Display
- Possess Dead Wildlife for Education/Scientific Purposes
- Possess Dead Wildlife for Ceremonial Purposes
- Possess Dead Wildlife for Sustenance
Live Wildlife
- Possess Live Wildlife for Falconry
- Possess Live Wildlife Not on Public Display
- Possess Live Wildlife on Public Display or for Other Commercial Purposes
- Possess Live Wildlife for Rehabilitation Facilities
- Manage Nuisance Wildlife
- Hunt, Trap, or Kill Wildlife for Research or Scientific Purposes
- Capture Live Wildlife for Falconry and Zoos
- Transport Live Wildlife within B.C.
- Operate a Game Bird Club
- Release Wildlife from Captivity
Miscellaneous
- Special Motor Vehicle Access
- Unlicenced Angling by Minors and/or Disabled Persons

What happens after you apply
The target time frame for decision on your permit is 30 days*
*Processing time may be considerably longer if there is a required consultation process.

Receiving the application
Your application will be reviewed to ensure that it is complete. Your payment and documents will be entered into the appropriate systems. When necessary, you will be contacted for more information.
An application will not be accepted and processed until all required information as well as payment has been received.
Decision Making
A decision will be made on whether to issue a permit or not after a full review of your submission.
Issuance of Permit
If your application is approved, the permit is issued and sent to you by FrontCounter BC. If your application was not approved, you will be notified.

Follow these tips to make the application process easier:
- Review this guide and have all the information and documents ready before you start filling out the application.
- Use a Basic, Personal or Business BCeID for your application. A BCeID is easy to get and allows you to save your application, reopen it, and check the status of your application online. Applications will automatically time-out after a certain period of inactivity if not saved.
